AGB Events was engaged by Tourism Australia to create and produce the Coastal and Aquatic Campaign Launch in New York City.
The brief was to bring Australia’s aquatic and coastal feeling to life, in the middle of a zero-degree, blizzardy NYC winter night.
AGB Events created and delivered immersive virtual reality displays and aquatic themed images that were projected onto the ice rink at the Bank of America Winter Village in Bryant Park NYC.
This collision of opposites began using light projection to turn this huge ice rink onto a ‘portal’ to Australia, with tropical fish, body-boards paddling around friendly humpback whales and majestic flyovers to warm the hearts of New Yorkers and the world’s media.
This campaign wowed the US audience and contributed to an 11% increase in visitation to Tourism Australia’s website and an estimated return on investment of $16:1
