Delectable FestivalBrisbane

Following the 2010-11 Brisbane floods, Queensland Tourism approached AGB Events to create a new event that would provide a healing process for their community.

Building on the region’s identity as ‘food bowl of Australia’, AGB designed a new festival called Delectable that showcased Queensland’s finest produce, growers, chefs, gardeners, entertainers and musicians. Transforming Brisbane’s public spaces into grower’s fields, animations, and pop-up restaurants, Brisbane and her visitors were able to experience the richness of Queensland’s produce and culinary talent.

Delectable attracted over 200,000 people over a 5-day period and provided a much-needed community focus for local residents.

The festival provided a much needed platform for visitors to support local produce.  Local suppliers appreciated the opportunity to showcase their products to new customers and rebuild their businesses following the floods.
