Since 2017 AGB Events has been working with Cairns Festival to showcase the rich local culture with a projection event in the heart of Cairns.

Over the three years of participation in the City Lights program, AGB Events have teamed up with artists from a range of cultural backgrounds that reflect the dynamic make up of contemporary Cairns. The resulting collaborations have brought digital storytelling and projection mapping together with traditional painting and stories to transform the Cairns City Library with projection artworks that speak to the culture, history and tropical lifestyle of North Queensland.

Cairns Festival is the biggest event on the Cairns calendar and an important social capital tool for the local community.
